John T. Ritondo, Jr., Esq. is an Alabama attorney and law professor with nearly three decades of legal experience.  As the founder of Ritondo Law Firm, he serves clients across Alabama in business formation, wills and trusts, estate planning, lease review and drafting, and real property transfers. His practice often involves helping individuals and families restructure property ownership, prepare essential estate documents, and navigate business organizations.

In addition to his law practice, John is a highly regarded educator, having been named Outstanding Professor of Law at  Birmingham School of Law in multiple years. He teaches Civil Procedure and Conflict of Laws with a focus on practical application of federal and state procedural rules, often creating detailed, student-friendly materials and courses to make complex topics accessible.

John combines real-world experience with a passion for clear communication. His work is guided by a commitment to efficiency, professionalism, and helping clients make informed decisions about their legal matters.

When he’s not in the courtroom or classroom, John enjoys spending time with his wife, Cecilia and their four boys, riding motorcycles, and exploring Alabama’s natural beauty.
